Innovative air conditioning in tulip storage: also in Peru!

We don't think much about it, but of course tulips are also grown and stored abroad! Gruppo Grameco (GG) of Peru is one such foreign tulip grower. This company grows tulips about 400 kilometers north of the capital Lima in the village of Huaraz. This village is in a beautiful location in the middle of the mountains at 2800 meters above sea level but with the right soil conditions.

GG additionally imports tulip bulbs from the Netherlands. Storage takes place in 4 storage cells of different sizes. To ensure the high quality of the imported tulip bulbs, GG asked Agrozone to improve the overall air quality in the storage cells, reduce harmful ethylene concentrations and thus improve the storage quality of the bulbs.

Agrozone installed a Multisplit® installation for this purpose, a proven recipe in Dutch bulb storage. With the Multisplit® installation, ozone is produced and distributed among the 4 storage cells. Based on continuous monitoring of the ozone concentration in the storage cells, the dosage of ozone in the 4 individual storage cells is automatically adjusted. One installation is thus sufficient for all cells.

On behalf of Agrozone Europe BV, we thank Daniel Pardo Barber of Grupo Grameco for this great job!
