Kwekerij S. Schouten BV is a traditional family business in which the third generation is now active. Using the latest techniques, they produce between 500,000 and 700,000 tulips per week from January to May. In the months of October and November they produce about 2 million iced tulips.

A special location for Agrozone, in 2011 we installed our very first multi-split installation here to improve the air quality in the storage sheds and optimize the harvest. This consists of 10 AGB cabinets for 10 storage cells. In 2022, we expanded this installation with an additional cabinet for storage cell 11. Despite annual maintenance, the installation was getting a bit older and has since been somewhat overtaken by time and new developments. Sam Schouten is very pleased with the ozone installation, but he did not have to think long to have it replaced for a new installation so he can enjoy it again for many years.

Thanks to our ozone plant, Sam has had little to no failure of his tulip bulbs in recent years. Sam is also very selective with his tulip bulbs. Quality is his top priority. Thanks in part to our installation, we can achieve this goal this with a brand new and improved software for detail control and new hardware for a sustainable future!
