Pilot installation for odor reduction!

Agrozone has extensive experience in the realization of odor control installations, think of the animal feed industry, food industry (cheese, chips, onions, potato, eggs), sludge composting, slaughterhouses, fish feed industry, tobacco industry, rubber industry, but also for example the cannabis industry. The goal of Agrozone is to be able to advise and support these factories at an early stage in order to significantly reduce odor emissions so that possible nuisance to the environment is reduced.

To this end, we at Agrozone have recently designed an odor testing installation, based on cold ionization, to perform odor tests on the basis of which a full-scale installation can be designed. The installation has now been extensively tried and tested and will soon be deployed at its first location at a compound feed company.

Cold ionization

Ozone injection falls under the cold ionization technique of air emission control techniques. Ionized air (ozone) is injected into an air stream for odor reduction, where ozone oxidizes odor molecules ("indirect" cold ionization). In this process, however, molecules are not completely broken down, but modified into odorless/less strongly odorous molecules. VOC will therefore not decrease to little.

In "direct" cold ionization, a high-voltage electric field is created in the gas stream where highly active substances (radicals) are created, causing oxidation.
